چکیده

L Antigen Family Member 3 (LAGE3) is an important RNA modification-related protein. Whereas few studies have interrogated the LAGE3 protein, there limited data on its role in tumors. Here, we analyzed and profiled protein skin cutaneous melanoma (CM) using TCGA, GTEx, or GEO databases. Our showed upregulation of cell lines compared to normal lines. Besides, Kaplan–Meier curves Cox proportional hazard model revealed that was independent survival indicator for CM, especially metastatic CM. Moreover, negatively associated with multiple immune infiltration levels CD8+ T cells Taken together, our study suggests could be a potential prognostic biomarker might target development novel CM treatment strategies.

NEK2 serves as a prognostic biomarker for hepatocellular carcinoma

Never in mitosis gene A (NIMA)-related kinase 2 (NEK2) is a microtubule-associated protein that regulates spindle assembly in human cells and is overexpressed in various malignancies. However, the role of NEK2 in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remains undetermined. We performed RNA-seq of the HCC cell line SMMC-7721 and the normal liver cell line HL-7702 using the Ion Proton System. NEK2 expres...

Aberrant expression of melanoma-associated antigen-D2 serves as a prognostic indicator of hepatocellular carcinoma outcome following curative hepatectomy

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the most common cause of cancer-related mortality globally. Since the prognosis of advanced HCC patients is extremely poor, the development of novel molecular targets for diagnosis and therapy is urgently required. In the present study, the expression of the melanoma-associated antigen-D2 (MAGE-D2) gene was investigated to determine whether it affects the malig...

Kinesin family member 20A is a novel melanoma-associated antigen.

It has been shown recently that immunotherapy for advanced melanoma is effective. However, in order to improve the efficacy of immunotherapy, the identification of more specific melanoma-associated antigens is urgently needed. Kinesin family member 20A (KIF20A) has been reported to be a promising immunotherapeutic target for pancreatic cancer. To investigate the expression of KIF20A in melanoma...

Superficial and deep lymph node dissection for stage III cutaneous melanoma: clinical outcome and prognostic factors

BACKGROUND The aims of this retrospective analysis were to evaluate the effect of combined superficial and deep groin dissection on disease-free and melanoma-specific survival, and to identify the most important factors for predicting the involvement of deep nodes according to clinically or microscopically detected nodal metastases. METHODS Between January 1996 and December 2005, 133 consecut...

Sentinel Node Biopsy as a Prognostic Factor in Cutaneous Melanoma

Background: The aim of sentinel node biopsy (SNB) is to identify subclinical lymph node metastases using a procedure with minimal morbidity, establish more accurate staging in patients with melanoma, determine prognosis, and choose the most suitable treatment in each patient. Objectives: To analyze the outcomes of SNB in patients with cutaneous melanoma, and the impact of this procedure on surv...
